NASHUA, N.H. — Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte announced her support of a constitutional ban on a state income tax. Meanwhile, more than 60 prominent income tax advocates have thrown their support behind Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington, highlighting the clear contrast in the Governor’s race and Warmington’s continued push to dismantle the New Hampshire advantage.
“Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington and her supporters want to dismantle the New Hampshire Advantage and replace it with the same Massachusetts style tax-and-spend policies that have businesses and families fleeing the Bay State,” said Ayotte campaign spokesman John Corbett. “Granite Staters aren’t going to let Cinde Warmington MASS up New Hampshire.”
“While income tax advocates unite behind Cinde Warmington, Governor Ayotte is holding the line against Democrats’ efforts to destroy the New Hampshire Advantage for good,” said Tom Thomson. “As my Dad used to say, ‘low taxes are the result of low spending,’ and by supporting a constitutional amendment to ban an income tax, Governor Ayotte is making sure we continue to live by that principle.”
