Opioid Lobbyist Pushing Massachusetts-style Energy Plan
NASHUA, N.H. — Earlier this week, Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington called for a “change of direction” on energy policy when asked on a debate stage.
Transcript:
Moderator: Councilor, can you talk about your energy plans going forward?
Warmington: Sure, we definitely need an investment and a change of direction with respect to energy
“When Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington calls for a ‘change of direction,’ we know what that means — eliminating natural gas and home heating oil, and skyrocketing electric bills,” said Ayotte campaign spokesman John Corbett. “While Governor Kelly Ayotte is fighting to lower energy costs and holding utility companies accountable, Opioid Lobbyist Warmington continues to push her energy plan that is even more extreme than Massachusetts’.”
Earlier this week, Governor Kelly Ayotte called on utilities to immediately return $150 million in overcharges to New Hampshire ratepayers. Meanwhile, Warmington’s energy plan embraces the net-zero policies that are driving up costs in states like Massachusetts and California.
Highlights from Warmington’s energy plan include:
- Ending the use of natural gas and home heating oil
- Transitioning away from gas-powered vehicles
- Sinking taxpayer dollars into costly green-energy mandates
