NASHUA, N.H. — After new reporting from WMUR put Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington’s lies on behalf of Purdue Pharma back in the spotlight, Governor Kelly Ayotte responded by calling out Warmington for her attempts to run from her disqualifying record.

“If you look at this, then-Gov. Jeanne Shaheen was already saying, ‘We’re going to declare war on OxyContin, Purdue Pharma,’ because she was trying to put in, for example, preauthorization for the prescription of OxyContin for her and her Health and Human Services commissioner at the same time that Cinde Warmington was fighting her on this,” Ayotte said.

Ayotte said Warmington is trying unsuccessfully to change the subject.
“She is not being forthright about her work as an opioid lobbyist,” Ayotte said. “She doesn’t want people to know what she really did. As I look at this, it’s just another example of why she shouldn’t be governor of the state.”
