NASHUA, N.H. — During last night’s NHPR debate, Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington evolved her extreme energy policies again, now opposing efforts to bring more natural gas to New Hampshire to lower costs for Granite Staters.
Transcript:
Moderator: Would would you support the construction of a pipeline to deliver more?
Warmington: I think that if we invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy, we don’t need to invest in a pipeline.
Recently, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey reversed course on her opposition to natural gas expansion due to skyrocketing energy costs in the Bay State.
“Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington’s energy plan, which would end the use of natural gas and home heating oil, was already more extreme than Massachusetts’,” said Ayotte campaign spokesman John Corbett. “Now while even Maura Healey calls for more natural gas in our region to lower costs, Warmington is opposing it. New Hampshire cannot afford Opioid Lobbyist Cinde Warmington.”
Highlights from Warmington’s energy plan include:
- Ending the use of natural gas and home heating oil
- Transitioning away from gas-powered vehicles
- Sinking taxpayer dollars into costly green-energy mandates
