Today, Kelly Ayotte, candidate for Governor, announced the endorsement of the Manchester Association of Police Supervisors.
This is the fourth law enforcement organization to endorse Kelly for Governor, following endorsements from the New England Police Benevolent Association, the New Hampshire Police Association, and the New Hampshire Troopers Association.
Kelly released the following statement announcing the endorsement:
“As a prosecutor and as New Hampshire’s Attorney General, I worked alongside the brave men and women of the Manchester Police Department and law enforcement agencies across our state to get criminals off our streets and keep our communities safe. I am proud to have the support of the Manchester Association of Police Supervisors, and I look forward to working with them to ensure we stop the flow of deadly fentanyl coming into our state, fix the broken retirement system, and ensure officers in Manchester and across our state have the resources and backing to safely do their jobs.”
Endorsing Kelly, Manchester Association of Police Supervisors President Rob Megowen said, “Kelly Ayotte was with our department through some of its toughest days, and throughout her career as a prosecutor, as Attorney General, and in the U.S. Senate, she has never wavered in standing with law enforcement. Kelly understands that to recruit and retain the best officers in the nation, we must fix Group 2 Retirement and ensure we keep dangerous criminals behind bars. Kelly has always had our backs, and law enforcement in Manchester and across New Hampshire can trust her to get the job done for us in the corner office.”
Kelly has now been endorsed by more than 350 leaders from across New Hampshire, including Gov. Chris Sununu, 12 County Commissioners, four County Sheriffs, and over 100 current and former State Representatives.
