New Hampshire Police Association Endorses Ayotte for Governor

Today, Kelly Ayotte, candidate for Governor, received the endorsement of the New Hampshire Police Association.

“It’s an honor to have the support of the New Hampshire Police Association, and I look forward to working with them to keep our state the safest in the nation. As a prosecutor and as Attorney General, I worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement to protect our communities and get dangerous criminals off our streets.”

Ayotte continued, “As Governor, I will ensure New Hampshire law enforcement officers have the necessary resources and backing to safely do their jobs. Together, we’ll fix the retirement system to give these officers the benefits they have earned, and we’ll put an end to our revolving door bail system that lets violent offenders back into our communities.”

Endorsing Ayotte, NHPA President Mike Geha said, “As the President of the New Hampshire Police Association, it is my honor to endorse Kelly Ayotte in her bid for Governor of our great state. Kelly’s track record speaks for itself. As Attorney General, she took a tough stance on crime, ensuring that justice was served and victims were supported. As a U.S. Senator, she worked tirelessly to bring attention to issues affecting our state and pushed for legislation that benefited our communities. Kelly’s leadership will bring about the positive changes needed to support our officers and enhance public safety.”

Kelly received the endorsement of the New England Police Benevolent Association in June. In addition to these leading police union endorsements, Kelly launched last fall the “Law Enforcement for Kelly” coalition, with over 120 members of the New Hampshire law enforcement community supporting her campaign for Governor. Kelly also has endorsements from the Sheriffs of Belknap, Coos, Hillsborough, and Sullivan counties.

Kelly has been endorsed by over 300 leaders from across New Hampshire, including 12 County Commissioners, numerous local elected officials, and over 100 current and former State Representatives including the Republican delegations of Coos County, Merrimack and Manchester.
