Fighting to Lower Electric Bills

While Granite Staters are feeling the strain of rising electric bills, Kelly is taking action to lower costs, and she’s not afraid to stand up to utility companies that are putting profits over families.

Kelly appointed a new Public Utilities Commission chair focused on protecting consumers, not utility companies’ bottom lines, and she successfully pushed ISO New England to make changes that will generate nearly a billion dollars in savings on electricity across our entire region and our state.

Kelly knows that we need more energy in New Hampshire to bring bills down, which is why she’s pushing neighboring Governors to support expansion of natural gas into the region and working with industry leaders to bring next-generation nuclear power to New Hampshire. She also joined a bipartisan effort with fellow New England Governors to expand nuclear energy in the region, increasing supply and lowering costs for the long-term.
