Safest State in the Nation

New Hampshire is the safest state in the country, and Kelly is working alongside our first responders to keep it that way. During her first 100 days in office, Kelly successfully passed a bipartisan law to fix our broken bail system and shut the revolving door that was letting violent criminals out into our communities. The new law is working — holding criminals accountable, stopping repeat offenders, and protecting victims. 

Kelly kept her promise to ban sanctuary cities and ensure local police cooperation with federal authorities on immigration enforcement. She also signed new laws to protect victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, strengthen drug enforcement efforts, and close the DUI test refusal loophole that was costing lives on our roads.

Kelly knows that our first responders put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve Granite Staters, which is why she kept her promise to restore retirement benefits that were cut, strengthening recruitment and retention. She’s also supporting a cancer screening program for firefighters to help detect common cancers as a result of the job and save lives. By supporting those who keep us safe, Kelly will keep our state #1 for public safety.
